WHAT IT MEANS TO ME

What is Christmas all about? For me Christmas is taking time out from work and the constant hustle and bustle to be with friends and family, relax, sit around a table and eat a meal without feeling rushed to be getting to the next activity. It's about smiles, laughter, and love. It's about The Sound of Music, It's a Wonderful Life, and The Grinch. It's about turkey and shortbread and all the traditions that are a part of this once a year holiday. I must say though that one of my favorite Christmas traditions is the STOCKING! I love watching my loved ones dig deep into their stockings and get excited about what they might find - even the socks and the underwear. There might be big boxes wrapped under the tree that contain things that were on wish lists but the stocking holds unexpected treasures. Small sentiments of love that aren't about cost, or wants, or wish lists. I hope that you enjoy your favorite traditions this holiday season.
